About Nancy Mooney

I have 20+ years of experience in accounting as well as experience in property & casualty insurance. I'm intuitive, hard-working, project-driven and cheerful. I hope to use my organizational, administrative, and accounting experience to help an organization be successful. I prefer a collaborative environment wherein I can play a supporting role. In addition to home schooling my 3 children these past 20 years, I've been an accountant for my church, organized home-school co-ops, field trips, camping trips for large groups of teens, run an Airbnb in my home, serving a hot breakfast to my guests daily, assisted in running a home-school PE group, cared for multiple ill relatives, worked in ministry organizing events, kept my home organized and my kids well-fed, planned elaborate trips for my family to China, Norway, Nova Scotia, England, and more. I've volunteered with Anacostia Watershed Society, Appalachian Trail Conservancy, FISH of Laurel, and sewed and donated over 900 face masks during the early days of the pandemic. I am currently experimenting with raising black soldier fly larvae as animal feed to donate to a wildlife rescue organization. I recently took the Predictive Behavior Index test and scored "Specialist" which indicates that I'm thorough, detail-oriented, and precise. A recent Enneagram test I scored highest in "Helper" with "Loyalist" a very close second.
