About Nancy Nash

I am passionate about being an agent of change in the local and global communities I serve. I strive to be a motivator and innovative problem solver who brings out the best in those with whom I come in contact. I believe that surrounding ourselves with a system of supportive people who inspire us to see the world through a different lens can make us more effective in whatever it is that we feel personally purposed and called to do, and that together we can find an effective approach to seemingly impossible challenges. In my personal wellness journey, I lost over 150lbs, but the mental transformation I went through to achieve that was even more life-changing than the physical. I started Starfish Strength to help people access the information, inspiration, and motivation they need to reach their goals. As a wellness coach, I love helping clients find a positive relationship with healthy living. Seeing them recognize their progress and cultivate a ‘can-do’ mindset brings me continual inspiration. Once they find this perspective, it's like they create a tidal wave that spreads out to generate mini waves of momentum all throughout the other areas of their life, some they didn’t even expect. When we find success in the little actions we take each day to keep ourselves on track, we find the courage to boldly pursue our bigger dreams that once seemed so out of reach. It’s a privilege to help people successfully pursue their goals on a daily basis, and it pushes me to continue to pursue mine. I have proudly helped clients accomplish a variety of goals including regaining strength and mobility post-surgery, weight loss, increased hypertrophy, flexibility, and balance. I am stubbornly optimistic in my pursuit to find new solutions to problems, and I am continuously growing my knowledge in all aspects of wellness. I am always excited to deep dive into the research to answer tough questions. Although I’ll be the first to crack a terrible joke, I take my role in coaching others to find success quite seriously. I still feel like a starfish out of water sometimes, but my desire to help, to really get to know what each individual wants and needs is genuine. I still have my awkward duckling moments, but I’ve learned to embrace them. I am always working to become better, but it is often my imperfections that help me make exercise feel approachable and enjoyable for people from all walks of life. I hope that you will feel that if I can do this, so can you!
