I thrive on finding solutions to complex and challenging situations - thus helping our communities and businesses grow and thrive. My career started in corporate/commercial real estate development and management, utilizing extensive market research to site new retail stores and shopping centers. I was responsible from the day I looked at a raw piece of land… to when the project was completed and open for business. I managed the processes of extensive market research and sales projections, development planning, financial budgeting and cost reporting, obtaining all permits and approvals, and helping solve any problems that arose along the way. I further utilized these skills in other business arenas. My real estate development background helped communities and businesses expand and thrive in the fields of economic and workforce development. Several years in commercial banking allowed me to work closely with larger not-for-profit organizations and government entities to maximize and improve their financial operations with innovative and consultative banking products and services. Along the way, I learned that: • I connect the dots and can pivot and turn as needed to get the job done. • I am motivated to negotiate the best deal for the benefit of our clients. • I am data-driven, utilizing market research and metrics to make sound business decisions. • I am a consensus builder and enjoy convening people to harness their collective brain power. • I am a marketer at heart and enjoy finding business solutions that make a difference. Outside of work, I can be found enjoying outdoor activities (hiking, skiing, etc.), cooking meals for family and friends, figuring out how to do home improvement projects, and reading books that generally have some form of learning or self-improvement aspects.
