About Nancy Nicklow

The 2 words to best describe me are Passion and Integrity. People can tell when I get passionate about something, my voice tends to rise and my hand gestures significantly increase. I care.about my family, my business, my friends and my community. I started at Huff Insurance at the age of 14, working summers and holidays. After attending Salisbury University I started full time as a personal lines insurance customer service representative. I had my life and health license since I was 19 years old. From Personal lines, I moved to Commercial lines in Working with many small to mid sized businesses in the area. I earned my CPCU designation in 2002, followed by my AAI, and CRIS designations in the insurance industry. In 2007 the founder of our agency, Ray Huff, passed away. My dad taught me so much about this business, how to treat customers and how to have a business mind set. Pursing my dream to run the agency and keep on the family legacy onward, I became the President of the agency. Learning everything from accounting, to marketing and everything in between to run a successful insurance agency. Recently I began teaching at the Independent Insurance Agents of MD, for two of the AAI classes and for ACSR 5. This is a wonderful opportunity to be able to share what I have learned over the years with others. Also, I am very excited to be a member of ACT (Agents Council for Technology) for the Big I and be able to push the insurance industry farther. I am active in the independent insurance association as recently began teaching for them as well as serving on the board and past president of the association. In addition, I am on the Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber Board. I love being active in the community, meeting new people and helping them to protect their lifestyle.
