As a member of the Business and Financial Services group at Shulman Rogers, Nancy engages in all types of transactional work involving tax planning and handles all types of taxpayer advocacy before the IRS, including working with IRS agents, appeals officers, and IRS counsel. She is experienced in handling issues unique to exempt organizations such as the alleged receipt of excess benefits, political and lobbying activities, unrelated business income tax, international grant-making, anti-terrorist guidelines and practices, issues pertaining to colleges and universities, and nonprofit board governance. Nancy also speaks and writes on a variety of issues. Recently, she has published several articles in Bloomberg Tax regarding Charitable Conservation Easements. Ms. Kuhn is a member of the American Bar Association, Section of Taxation, and the American Inn of Court, J. Edgar Murdock Chapter. She also served as President of the Board of Directors of Children’s Chorus of Washington and currently sings with the Washington Chorus, and serves as President of the Chorus.
