About Nancy Paton

Nancy Paton is an award-winning Australian/ Polish director, producer, and screenwriter in the United Arab Emirates. Nancy’s passion for film was developed and nurtured in her early years at Newtown Performing Arts High School and since graduating from the University of Sydney she has worked extensively in the film industry. Moving to New York City, studying at the Atlantic Acting School, and working at Michael Mailer Films allowed her to develop as a screenwriter and independent film producer however her true passion has always been directing. Whilst working at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London, Nancy wrote the three-time award-winning screenplay Daisy. Daisy was her film-directing debut, and the film has won numerous awards around the world and was bought by showtime and now is playing on Amazone Prime. Soon after finishing Daisy she wrote, produced, directed, and starred in Postpartum which she filmed in Saudi Arabia with an all-amateur female film crew, which has also won numerous awards. It has also been officially selected for a handful of other film festivals around the world. Nancy then completed the short film Choke for the 48 Film Project which she won the grand prize of £100K for her feature film, She has also filmed two music videos and two documentaries; Maisy and the Making of Daisy and The Black Abaya. She is in development on two feature films Touched and Frame. Nancy also has a proven track record of winning, maintaining, and growing international clients. Nancy has an outstanding record of achievement gained from a variety of client-facing roles, entrusted by companies to be the leading face of the organization.
