About Nancy Rossiter

Entrepreneur, educator and author in the field of entrepreneurship. Entrepreneur Nancy has started, managed and operated two organizations with 12-30 employees. Professional Publishing Services, Inc. published the Providence Edition of the "University Reporter", a newspaper devoted to capturing the big picture of college life in Rhode Island. The organization also published a business magazine entitled "Successful Rhode Islanders". The Learning Community of North Florida, Inc, was a center devoted to lifelong learning for adults. The adult enrichment classes and programs included language classes, cooking classes, fitness, gardening, knitting, art, photography, business classes (i.e. using Linkedin, Facebook and other social media, Quickbooks, etc.) and an entrepreneur certification program. Educator With over fifteen years of college teaching experience, Nancy has taught at private colleges and universities and public universities on the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels. Specializing teaching entrepreneurship classes, Nancy has assisted her students create actionable business plans for achieving their goals of starting their own businesses. Nancy has also taught management and marketing classes including: Organizational Behavior, Principles of Management, Contemporary Management Theory, Ethics, Operations Management, Total Quality Management, Statistics, Business Communication, Leadership, Managing Innovation, Principles of Marketing, and Sales Management. Author/Researcher Nancy has published two textbooks and numerous articles. Her first text,"Making a Difference", was published by Libraries Unlimited. Her second book, published by Chandos Publishers, is entitled "Marketing the Library: Where is Your Purple Owl?" Nancy’s research articles focus on entrepreneurship, particularly student entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship in the music industry. Seeking teaching, consulting and entrepreneurial opportunities.
