About Nancy Schmitt

One thing has always been true throughout my career in Human Resources: my desire to build a connection with the people I work with. I encourage and support skill development by demonstrating a willingness to try new and unfamiliar work. I believe there’s so much that can be gained by learning from and teaching others. At the beginning of my career in Human Resources I was a people leader in a large-volume retail setting. I moved into a support role with a new company and leveraged those skills to become an analyst for our HRMS (human resources management system). All great experiences! But as time passed, I missed having opportunities to coach a team and watch them grow and succeed. I also recognized a need to build and strengthen trust so people felt comfortable asking for the guidance they needed. Now I’m excited to be a people leader once again! As a dedicated coach of a dynamic and diverse team I help guide my team on their technical skills journey, visualize their future career and recommend the communication and leadership skills they’ll need. I want people at the center of their journey so I’m always looking for the employee’s perspective and flexing to their individual learning and communication styles.
