After a 20 year career in various Customer Service positions including Retail Manager, Claims/Returns Manager, Dog Wrangler, and Invoice Processing Team Lead, I was chosen for a new position in Sales Tax Compliance with an online purveyor of herbs, teas, & spices located in Eugene, OR. Currently, I am the State and Local Tax Coordinator for TaxOps LLC. In learning about the sales tax landscape for remote sellers following the Wayfair v SD SCOTUS decision, I have discovered a whole new world. I am a fluent user of Avalara CertCapture, assisting clients with system integration. I enjoy using Excel to prepare and present data across several systems and am constantly on the lookout for ways to learn more. Spreadsheets make me happy! I am a two-time Sales Tax Nerd of the Year finalist (2020 and 2021) and was featured as one of the Sales Tax Institute's Women to Watch in Sales Tax. In my personal life, I enjoy reading, hiking, being a lifelong Horse Girl, making music playlists as DJ BlueSteele, and participating in dog sports with my "Team Skinnydog" partner Cosmo the Whippet.
