About Nancy Tahmo
Nancy Tahmo is a public health professional whose work centers on community engagement in infectious disease risk modeling. She works with collaborators in Kenya to assess the influence of sexual networks on HIV epidemics among men who have sex with men. This project uses community-based participatory modeling to adapt an HIV transmission model and co-design a framework for scaling integrated community engagement in HIV prevention research. Nancy serves as Public Health Advisor for the African Immigrant Family Services (AIFS), a nonprofit empowering immigrant and refugee communities in Nebraska through resource navigation and education.
