About Nancy Tsai

My path to design has been a squiggly one: From classical piano to business administration to industrial and interaction design. Along the way, I’ve rebuilt myself through injury, immigration, uncertainty, and career pivots. These lived experiences taught me how to work with diverse profiles, listen deeply, adapt quickly, and lead without ego. I bring both a strategic bird’s-eye view and a hands-on, highly organized design process. With a background in industrial and interaction design, I prototype across Figma, Unity, Arduino, 3D printing, and laser cutting to build experiences that integrate movement, sensors, and sound. When speed matters, I go quick and dirty - grabbing paper, cardboard, or whatever’s on hand to hack together mockups for fast testing and iteration. What I bring is a multidisciplinary lens, the rigor to organize complex projects, and the openness to co-create with others. I believe that good design isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about being intentional, human-centered, and continuously iterating toward solutions that make people’s lives better.
