About Nandakumar Sethuraman

As a Specialist Cost Engineer at Vanderlande, I apply my eighteen years of experience to drive value and cost optimization through DFX and Value Engineering projects. I also perform should costing and material cost budgeting for projects in the material handling and logistics industry. Previously, I was a Senior Cost Engineer at Lightyear, where I developed and tracked target cost, conducted make vs buy analysis, and worked closely with vehicle design, development, and engineering teams on daily basis. I also should costed components and total vehicle systems, and reported periodically on cost target vs cost status. Before that, I was a Deputy Manager at Ford Motor Company, where I led the global material cost for hot end exhaust for India, China, Thailand, and South Africa, and supported teardown and benchmarking for Asia Pacific region. My core competencies include negotiation, product costing, strategic sourcing, and kaizen. My mission is to deliver cost-effective and high-quality solutions that meet customer needs and expectations. My field of expertise is in the automotive and material handling sectors, where I leverage my mechanical engineering background and process improvement skills.
