About Nandini Bhatia

I embody multiple professional identities - Psychologist with an MSC Counselling Psychology from Christ University, Bengaluru. Here, I was awarded the Prof. John C. Carey and Judy Carey Scholarship Award in January 2023 in recognition of my potential for excellence in furthering the profession of Counselling Psychology. Therapist in private practice and drawing from relational, cognitive-behavioural, feminist, systemic, and trauma-informed approaches to psychotherapy. In my practice, I have worked collaboratively with clients to address concerns such as anxiety, relationship concerns and wellbeing, work-life balance, ADHD in adults, workplace concerns, depression, body image etc. I am conscious of practicing ethically by consistently working with a supervisor and seeking personal therapy in tandem. Researcher with an interest in the intersection of mental health and climate change. My master's thesis,"Experience of and Coping with Eco-Anxiety in Urban India: A Mixed-Methods Exploration", was selected for presentation at the European Congress of Psychology 2023 in Brighton, UK in July 2023. Ex-development sector professional with experience in design and management of applied research studies across thematic areas of education, health, skill development, water and sanitation, and agriculture. I am driven by the values of compassion, courage, affirmation, social justice, and integrity, and wish to leverage my manifold skill sets for a multi-level contribution to the fields of psychology and mental health in India.
