About Nandor Han

I am an enthusiast and passionate software engineer. Working in medical, telecommunications and industry environments, I was able to build skills not only as an engineer, but also as a team player with a very good teamwork spirit. Ambitious, task oriented person and very open to gain and develop new skills. Working in highly regulated domains helped me to develop abilities in planning, defect management, documentation, AGILE skills. With good experience in hardware and understanding various protocols, I was able to successfully deliver results in embedded area either using bare-metal solutions or by using various frameworks. My most recent assignments gave me the opportunity to work in open-source environment where I have successfully contributed to projects like Linux Kernel, U-Boot, in the same time building knowledge in using Yocto, systemd, D-Bus… and open-source contribution philosophy. Various projects gave the possibility to contribute not only to implementation but also to architecture and design. Programming Languages: Along the years I was able to successfully contribute to projects regardless of the used language. But I can say that most of the years I worked using C/C++, and depending of the project, Java. I use C#(WPF) especially for creating tools and recently I started to use Python. As scripting language I mainly used Bash. Communications and Networking: Good understanding and writing drivers for SPI, I2C, UART. Experience with network mechanics (OSI layer) and TCP/IP stack and USB. Open Source: I did successfully upstream patches to Linux Kernel for i.MX serial, SDMA drivers and add a support for GPIO device (maintainer). U-Boot: support for RTC devices, various vendor specific configuration. Hardware: ARM, MSP430, RS232, RS485, LVDS.
