Hello there! I truly believe that education has the power to transform lives and build brighter futures. I am immensely proud to work with a fantastic, committed and ambitious charity that does just that,(with an exceptionally lovely bunch of colleagues I might add)! ‍ ‍Action Tutoring's vision is a world in which no child's life chances are limited by their socio-economic background. We pair pupils from low-income backgrounds with trained volunteer tutors to build their maths and English subject knowledge, confidence and aspirations. By bolstering their chances of academic success, we open doors to further education, training and employment opportunities, empowering them to thrive and prosper beyond their schooling years. My Role: As Senior Fundraising Coordinator in our Trusts and Foundations team, I specialise in bid writing, reporting to funders, researching prospective funding and account management. 🧡I thrive off creative work with a 'heart' and am particularly skilled at marketing, content creation and campaign management.(Previous experience overseeing our fundraising campaigns, events and individual giving.) Currently heading a Philanthropy marketing project. I am also a member of our Case Study Working Group, where I meet with our brilliant pupils and tutors to gather authentic and valuable feedback on our programmes. Some other things I'm rather good at: Highly competent in written communication, able to produce compelling, persuasive and tailored copy for fundraising and marketing purposes. My background in performing arts, my love of languages and a decade of teaching experience mean I possess excellent communication skills and am a strong, natural presenter, comfortable in front of large and intimate audiences alike. Excell at building strong, positive rapport with colleagues and stakeholders alike. Great at working to tight deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously-(What can I say, I'm a Mum, multi-tasking is my life!) Fun facts (if you've made it this far down!): I am Fluent in French and Spanish, having spent over a decade of my life living and working in France and Spain.(Oh those golden days!) I worked as a professional jazz singer for 3 years in Spain and co-wrote and performed in a professional Spanish 'micro-theatre' play, which was rather fun indeed!
