19 years of experience in retail & corporate sales and large team management. 14+ years of exposure in Retail & Consumer Banking - 7 years in Sales and Business Development of Retail & Consumer Banking products and 7 years in General Banking Operations and Branch management. Have lead teams engaged in selling the entire spectrum of financial services & products such as Liability products, debit & credit cards, payment solutions & services, life and non-life insurance, housing & mortgage loans, mutual funds & equity products, to name a few. The two milestones achieved during my career in Banking is introducing Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited in Chennai market as Area Sales Manager; and managing the branch & front end in a new software environment during the core banking software migration to Finacleat IndusInd Bank as a Branch Manager. At IndusInd Bank Limited, I had the opportunity to set up a new branch in a highly competitive market place and achieve operational break- even within a span of six months. Have gained hands on exposure in branch banking & operations management, secured and unsecured asset products. Excelled in bancassurance sales. Prior, worked with Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited for 6 years. Was a part of the founding member team in South India as Area Sales Manager. Introduced Kotak Mahindra Bank’s retail liability products in Chennai Market. Launched 4 retail branches. Built a sales team of 60 members from zero level and lead them in the new market for selling Liability products, Credit Cards and Life Insurance. Later on moved as Branch Manager to gain experience in general banking & operations. I have advised clients on cash credit & over draft facilities, executed deals on cash management services, channel financing and inventory funding. Setting up a new business unit helped me to improve my generalist core competencies such as team building & leading, pre & post launch marketing campaigns & communications, analyzing the trade area, micro economic environment, revenue pool assessment and distribution modeling. Started my banking career with HDFC Bank Limited and later on moved to ABN AMRO Bank N.V. At HDFC Bank, set up the Corporate Sales team and lead them. Fluent in written and spoken English, Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil and Kannada.
