About Narelle Height

I’m Narelle, a high achieving senior professional with strong technical and business acumen. During my 20-year career, I’ve honed expert knowledge of educational technology, advanced internal technical training delivery skills and strong client facing L&D capabilities. In 2021, I was thrilled to win the TechWomen100 award. In 2019 I was nominated for the WeAreTheCity Rising Star Award and named a DANI Award and Business in the Community Education Finalist. My early career was spent in higher and further education, including tenure at Queen’s University Belfast, where for three years I taught Fundamentals of Programming to undergraduates using Java, Swing and Android. While in post, I wrote and successfully delivered a C# course to upskill Northern Ireland teachers. In 2016, I made the move to PwC. I’m currently Senior Education Outreach Manager, at the forefront of the company’s digital upskilling agenda. I’ve been the driving force behind the design, development and deployment of large-scale, schools-based programme Hive Academy which is delivered nationally, giving young people future focused skills in coding, cyber security, AI, IoT VR and more. I have a background in software development; previously I designed, implemented and integrated impactful user centric applications for mobile and tablet on the Android platform. My proficiency in object-oriented design, data structures and problem solving is advanced. I’m strongly positioned to drive end to end technology delivery leveraging Agile-Scrum principles. Throughout my career I’ve demonstrated my drive, tenacity, focus and data driven approach. I’m well-equipped to orchestrate technical teams and complex projects. Highly qualified, I have a Master’s in Communication, a degree in computer science, an ILM 5 Management qualification, a PGCE and a PgDip in Biomedical Engineering.
