My journey into the world of hospitality was unexpected. Coming from a family with deep roots in the Indian Armed Forces — my father served in the Army, my elder brother is with the Navy, and my younger brother is in the Army — I had always aspired to join the Indian Air Force. However, pursuing humanities in school meant I couldn't qualify for the Air Force Y Group, and with that, my childhood dream of flying came to an end. Then came an unexpected turn: a career counseling session by an aviation institute. That brief interaction sparked a new aspiration — one that still connected to travel, service, and professionalism. I enrolled in a course that combined aviation, hospitality, and tourism. From learning French and communication skills to field visits at hotels and airports, the course opened a world I had never considered — and I found my passion there. I began my professional journey with industrial training at the iconic TAJ Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur, in the Food & Beverage Service department. It was both a learning ground and a place where I began to build confidence and gain respect as a capable trainee, even while balancing college in the evenings. In October 2009, I joined The Park Plaza, Jodhpur, as a Hotel Operator Trainee in the Front Office — the beginning of a fulfilling 15+ year career in hotel operations. Over the years, I’ve honed my expertise in front desk operations, reservations, revenue management, and a touch of sales. Each day continues to be an opportunity to learn, grow, and serve — values deeply rooted in both hospitality and my upbringing. Today i am a hotel operations leader with 15+ years in luxury hospitality, driving reservation strategy and front-office excellence at premier resorts. I’ve led teams to increase occupancy by 2X% and streamline guest services. My goal is to optimize revenue and guest experience.
