Background

About Naresh Satyan

Electrical engineer / applied physicist with proven experience and technical skills in the broad areas of optical devices and systems, active and passive silicon photonics, optoelectronics, and control systems. I was a co-founder and CTO of Telaris Inc, where we developed the fundamental technologies that enable FMCW LIDAR-transmitters, receivers, control and algorithms-and demonstrated very early prototypes. Telaris was acquired by Intel, where I played a leading role in a cross-disciplinary team in a leading role to realize these and other innovations into a silicon-photonics-based high-performance LIDAR, getting engineering samples to automotive customers. I managed several technical programs with external vendors and collaborators to develop new photonic and electrooptic components and circuits to support the LIDAR product.Other previous experience includes narrow linewidth lasers, phase and frequency control of lasers and laser systems, sensing and imaging systems, and high-power laser systems.
