Currently the Director of Resource Mobilisation for the Vaal University of Technology with a view to Institutional Advancement and Commercialization; Director of POWERGROUP SOUTH AFRICA (Pty). Ltd. focusing on the provision of Energy Solutions for South Africa; Director on the Board of the Ifa Lethu Foundation of South Africa, offering business solutions to South African and Global Youth and Women; Honorary Consul- General for the Republic of Chile in South Africa and Business Development with emphasis on Trade and Investment between South Africa and 7 countries. Privileged to have received many global accolades such as the Honorary Doctorate from the University of Connecticut in recognition of my contribution to poverty alleviation in South Africa and the Development of the University of Connecticut Global Brand. Also privileged to be mentored by icons such as President Mandela of South Africa. Provided strategic leadership in higher education, business, diplomatic and the development Sectors for 23 years, 20 years at Executive level. Held various fellowships at Yale University, the University of Connecticut and Michigan State University and and executive and non-executive membership of national and global boards. My involvement in the economic and social empowerment of rural women and youth has resulted in many success stories for South Africans such as the creation of business opportunities and social upliftment for such women on the continent and beyond. A more recent initiative has seen me become more involved in the United Kingdom/South Africa investment effort to encourage more financial investment in the country with a view to creating employment in SA and more opportunities for women. As a global speaker, a global academic and business woman with a global profile, my networks extend to 6 continents, and include global captains of industry and heads of state among others, thus enabling my work in many of the areas of involvement.
