About Nasma Farhoud

I am a holder of Masters degree in Research in clinical pharmacy and pharmaco-epidemiology from Lebanese University. I did an internship as junior clinical pharmacist at Rafik Hariri hospital in Lebanon for a whole 1 year. At Rafik Hariri, I worked under the supervision of the head pharmacist reviewing records of patients, advising on correct administration,consulting on dosage of medication, reporting adverse events and so on. After that, I chose to start my career in a pharmacy. I have started working as a community pharmacist at Siham Itani pharmacy on 2012. I was responsible for dispensing medicines to public, ensuring the compatibility of treatments, supervising the preparation of any medicine, managing and training pharmacy staff, educating patients on medication use, communicating with prescribers, ensuring patient safety when using medication, processing insurance claims for medications, administering vaccinations. On 2015 I did a transition to pharmaceutical industry and started working as a senior medical representative in New allpharma. I have established and built relationship with doctors and pharmacists. I have organized AVA and round table discussions with doctors and pharmacists. I have developped my skills in sales, product knowledge, and customer service. In September 2022, I moved to Canada and I have started working with the Canadian Red Cross as a prevention and safety representative. During my short tenure of one month, I was fortunate to receive an appreciation and recognition certificate in recognition of my diligent efforts and contributions to the organization. After that, I was lucky to join Canada Post corporation in Jan 2023 as HR. I was responsible for managing personnel files and employee data, processing employee benefits, and addressing employee inquiries, among other HR administrative tasks. Currently, I work as Full-time Pharmacovigilance Associate at Innomar. I am responsible for monitoring the safety and efficacy of pharmaceutical products, reviewing adverse event reports (PIRs), and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
