About Nasrin Moini

I am a Polymer/Plastic Engineering- Science and Technology professional with a strong academic background encompassing my BSc, MSc, and PhD programs. Throughout my academic journey, I have delved into various fields of polymeric materials, acquiring comprehensive knowledge in polymerization methods, chemical characterization, physical chemistry, mechanical properties, rheology, and processing technology. This profound understanding of polymer science has honed my critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in the field. Over the course of my ten-year research career in the polymer industry, I have been actively involved in a diverse range of projects. My research has covered areas such as biobased oligo-ester resins, conductive co-oligomers of aniline and biobased oligo-esters, superabsorbent hydrogels, antibacterial and thermo-responsive hydrogels, and various other applications. As a key player in these projects, I have contributed significantly to the development of adhesives, epoxy acrylate and vinyl ester resins, biobased reactive diluents, antibacterial nonwoven fabrics and tissues, as well as the recycling of superabsorbent polymers and stretchable-healable superabsorbent hydrogels. The culmination of these endeavors has resulted in several peer-reviewed articles, three book chapters, two US Patents, and multiple national patents. Beyond research, I have actively contributed to the academic community by peer-reviewing articles for esteemed ISI journals and participating in the edition of two standard issues at the Iranian national standard organization (INSO) related to "Superabsorbent Polymer-Sodium Polyacrylate Resin for Absorbing Blood." Additionally, I have had the privilege of advising and mentoring several master and PhD students. My passion for research extends to both academic and industrial settings, where I find tremendous inspiration in working as an R&D researcher. I am driven to explore novel ideas, particularly in the realms of hydrogels, biobased resins and oligomers, stimuli-responsive materials, as well as conductive and antibacterial materials.
