About Nat Hamilton

I have worked with children and young people all my working life, both in the social work and the education sectors. I enjoy motivating them to be the best people they can be. In 2021, I left my role as a teacher to join the social work charity Frontline, where I am undertaking an MSc in Advanced Relationship Based Social Work Practice. Outside of work. I volunteer as a Police Cadet Unit Commander, having been promoted to this position within a year of joining West Midlands Police as a Cadet Leader, working with young Police Cadets as well as being a professional babysitter on the babysitting app Bubble. I also volunteer as a ChildLine Counsellor with the NSPCC. Academically, I enjoy what transpires within the political arena, which led to me studying Social Policy and Politics at the University of Birmingham. I then went on to complete my teacher training at Newman University before undertaking an MSc in Psychology at Birmingham City University. This leads me to where I am today, studying at Lancaster University, where I will not only be awarded an MSc in Advanced Relationship Based Social Work Practice, but also a post graduate diploma in Social Work, making me both a qualified teacher and a qualified social worker - both roles I feel privileged to undertake. I am passionate about social justice and wanting the best outcomes for all children and young people, especially given the disruption in their lives since 2020.
