About Natacha McClain

From private practice litigator to in-house counsel with experience servicing both public and private sector clients, I combine my nearly twenty years of legal expertise to effectively manage litigation and mitigate risks for my clients. Problem solving and continuous improvement are my passions! Currently, I serve as a Litigation Manager for Sedgwick’s public entity risk pooling clients to oversee complex, high exposure casualty claims brought against public entities and report to the Board of Directors responsible for their risk pooling program. Working together with the Board and risk control, we collaborate on strategic planning and training opportunities using claim trends and data analytics to educate members and minimize exposure. For five years, I was part of Masco’s Legal Department focusing on litigation, risk mitigation and regulatory and compliance matters. In my role working at a global Fortune 500 business, I supervised outside counsel on various legal issues and helped prepare our corporate designees for depositions. I also presented numerous company-wide training on litigation and compliance matters. I joined forces with our business units to develop process improvements and procedural enhancements. My legal career began in private practice as a litigator in Chicago where I represented clients in state and federal court in multiple jurisdictions. For ten years, I handled cases from initial investigation through resolution drafting numerous pleadings, written discovery and motions, attending depositions and mediations and presenting oral arguments on dispositive and evidentiary pre-trial motions to the Court.
