About Natalia V.

I am a post-secondary student studying Environmental Studies focusing on Sustainable Urban Environments. To say the least, I've had many jobs, including customer service and administration, working in warehouses, the food industry, union work, and grain inspection. While these jobs fulfilled my desire to expand on valuable skills that different industries provide, I still needed to fulfill my passion for sustainability. It has taken a long journey to discover my passion and how to implement it into my career path. While working as a bakery manager in 2019, I would actively forage, snorkel in sea kelps to observe jellyfish and other sea creatures off the coast of Vancouver Island, and engage in sustainable living practices. When I finally found a university that offered a degree stream that matched my interests in the industry, I decided to move to the city I was born; the cold city of Winnipeg. I have a strong passion for waste management and hope to continue and grow in the field.
