About Natalie Adams

Natalie’s child welfare career spans more than two decades, having served as a case manager, facilitator, trainer, and program manager. In her current role as Project Manager and Consultant at IHS, Natalie develops training programs and curriculum for organizations committed to serving children and families across the world. Natalie is also energized by consulting with organizations to help them achieve their goals of protecting children and strengthening the families they serve. Throughout her career, Natalie has trained 500+ new case managers and has provided professional coaching for new supervisors. She was also the program director of a peer mentoring program and has served on several statewide committees to ensure continuous quality improvement in child welfare. Natalie has reviewed, developed, and implemented child welfare policies based on best practice standards and is a passionate child advocate.Natalie’s passion is grounded in the belief that children deserve to grow up in a safe and healthy family. She carries that value with her, applying it in every aspect of her work. Natalie has regularly facilitated a myriad of family meetings including initial case planning, case reviews, and Permanency Round Tables. As a trained facilitator of Team Decision Making meetings, Natalie used her skills to engage families and draw on their strengths and resources, building group consensus to address the presenting safety concerns. Natalie applies many of those same skills when facilitating meetings amongst professionals to develop realistic plans with achievable outcomes. ​Away from the office, Natalie enjoys time with her family. She has also been a student of yoga for 9 years and is a certified yoga instructor. She “recharges her battery” through yoga, travel, long hikes, and cooking for her dearest friends and family.
