About Natalie Coronas

I am a lifelong resident of South Hill, VA and an avid supporter of my community. I love living in our rural county and have had the pleasure of being a member in many local organizations such as the South Hill Chamber of Commerce, Lake Gaston Chamber of Commerce, Mecklenburg County Tourism Committee, Mecklenburg County Strategic Economic Development Committee, South Hill Revitalization Committee, etc. The members of these organizations work tirelessly to better our community and offer events and activities that showcase our beautiful area.I am a career educator with 30+ years in education. My positions as a Teacher, Assistant Principal, CTE Coordinator, Director of Secondary Curriculum & CTE, Coordinator of Off-Campus Instruction, and Career & Work-Based Learning Specialist, have provided me with the opportunity to nurture and guide students and advise them towards future career pathways. Virginia's new Profile of a Graduate focuses on work based and service learning. This new focus along with industry credentials, academic rigor, and community partnerships will assist the schools in preparing our workforce, expanding our economic development in our communities, and providing students with pathways towards career success. Mecklenburg County Public Schools is partnering with businesses in the community to provide students with work-based learning experiences, train and prepare our future workforce, assist businesses in recruitment of future employees, and building our local workforce. The work-based learning program connects students, educators, businesses, and community leaders and together they will strengthen and build Mecklenburg County's workforce.
