About Natalie Dorey

After spending time pursuing degrees in Audio Production and Business Management, and not completing them, I realized that what I truly wanted to pursue a degree in was the one thing that I care the most about, Sports Management. I am in the process of finishing my Bachelor's Degree online through Columbia College and am on track to graduate in May and am looking forward to my professional experiences ahead.While I currently am an independent contractor for the Kenosha News and deliver newspapers on a daily basis, I have extensive experience in retail operations. I have 5 years of management experience in a retail setting as an Assistant Grocery Manager, Center Store Lead, Dairy/Frozen Manager, Third Shift Manager, Manager on Duty, and Customer Service Representative. In addition to management experience I have excellent Customer Service skills, extensive experience ordering and managing inventory, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office. I am also fluent in Spanish, I began learning it in Kindergarten, thanks to my parents enrolling me in a Dual-Immersion program.When I'm not attending school and working on schoolwork, I truly enjoy watching and attending sports events, and talking and blogging about sports. I recently started a blog on focusing on NBA players on and off the court and how they are more than just athletes that provide us entertainment. I am currently looking for internship opportunities in my geographical area in hopes of gaining professional experience before I graduate. I enjoy meeting new people and learning new things, so any advice on how to pursue a Sports Management career, or anything about business in the sports world would be awesome!
