Researcher | Audio Producer | Communications MA Candidate Bridging theory and practice at the intersection of sound, health, and storytelling I'm a graduate student and researcher in Communications at Simon Fraser University, where I explore the affective and emotional roles of music and sound—particularly in contexts of environmental issues, health, care, and crisis. My academic work is grounded in sound studies, affect theory, and research-creation, with a passion for how sonic practices shape human experience. Alongside my research, I bring years of hands-on experience in podcast production, audio editing, and community-based storytelling. I’ve worked as a podcast consultant, editor, and producer for projects including Prescription for Better Access, Speakable Podcast, and the Amplify Podcast Network. My background includes roles in public health, grant writing, and audio engineering, where I developed a versatile skill set across the creative and nonprofit sectors. My approach is collaborative, curious, and grounded in care. Whether I’m mixing audio, conducting interviews, or working on a literature review, I’m driven by the power of listening—and what it can unlock.
