About Natalie Finlayson

Natalie has more than 10 years experience and a deep knowledge of the asset management industry. Her specialties include listed investment funds, private equity, and how to harness ESG in creating long-term business value. She is a funds subject matter expert and leads the capital markets practice across the Crown Dependencies. This involves advising asset managers on IPO’s and C shares, and placing programme offerings of investment funds across multiple jurisdictions. She has also advised in the asset wealth management space to top alternative asset managers in the European market. This includes operating model assessment projects identifying opportunities for process improvement, and developing complex financial models to support business cases which underpin those opportunities. Natalie’s wide sector knowledge is born from her broad experience in investment funds – having worked across multiple asset classes in this space. This includes both traditional and upcoming asset classes including renewables, music royalties, real assets and infrastructure funds to name but a few. She has also carried out a wide variety of other audit and advisory work for financial services clients. This includes buy-and-sell side deal work, regulatory remediation and sustainability initiatives. The latter of which is an enormous focal point –guiding clients through the complex regulatory landscape and designing initiatives in order to achieving net zero carbon emission. Natalie has a pragmatic style, strong levels of logic, great interpersonal skills and an independent mindset. With a passion for people and driving change through thought leadership and action, Natalie is a GIFA marketing committee member, co-chair of the SA Chamber of Commerce Professional Women’s Chapter, as well as SAICA Channel Islands committee member. She is a also founding member of Guernsey Protea Society which is an NPO which aids in bringing South Africans together with locals in the community and raising funds to give back to Guernsey charities.
