About Natalie Irwin

Growing up a "chatter-box", communication has always been at the centre of my world. Communicating with others helps us learn, connect, and define who we are as individuals. My life-long love of socializing led to my passions in the field of speech-language pathology. I would argue nothing is more fulfilling than helping someone find their voice (literally and figuratively!) While I have not yet found an area of speech-language pathology that doesn’t interest me, I have a particular interest in early intervention, supporting preschool-aged children to develop the speech, language, and communication skills they need to be life-long communicators. I have also found fulfillment in working with adults with aphasia, an acquired language disorder common in post-stroke patients that can impact the production and/or understanding of speech.
