About Natalie Strobach

I am an innovator and leader at the top of both the tech industry and global university research with a passion for driving innovation and fostering partnership. At Amazon I drive research strategy and partnerships for Prime Video and Amazon Studios’ industry-leading scientists, facilitating cross-organizational and cross-business collaboration and also directing the Prime Video and Studios research budget and program development for our numerous national and international research collaborations—including supporting expanding work in AI tech and other cutting edge work. With a blend of data-driven and creative approaches, I have successfully led complex research programs and facilitated cross-functional and broad organizational partnerships to drive impactful and customer-focused results. I come to private industry from top university leadership as an academic Dean, Principal Investigator, and award winning Research Professor setting the bar for research innovation. I am responsible for founding such initiatives as the Research Collaboratory at Johns Hopkins University, the first national undergraduate research symposium in the humanities, and the 1876 Fellows, an innovative first-year research accelerator. With over ten years of research, DEI, and program management, and as PI of over $10+ million in federal and non-profit grant funds for STEM, Social Sciences, and the Humanities at public and private research universities, I am a national leader of integrative learning and program design with extensive high level financial and senior personnel management experience. As an educator who was also a first-generation and low-income student and the child of an immigrant, I also put great focus on supporting diversity pipelines and researchers.
