About Natalie Yarnal

As the Business Systems and Reporting Manager at the Phoenix Zoo, I oversee the administration and optimization of the Zoo’s essential business systems. I work daily to analyze and enhance the Zoo’s membership, fundraising and ticketing systems, identifying key areas for improvement and establishing system best practices. I also manage system configuration and provide training for platforms such as Galaxy, GiveSmart, UltraCamp and Raiser’s Edge. Most recently I acted as project manager to move our Customer Relationship Software from Raiser's Edge 7 to Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud. In my previous role as Membership Manager, I led initiatives to deliver exceptional guest experiences and designed programs that expanded, upgraded, and retained members while increasing revenue for the Zoo’s membership program. I also have experience in Donor Relations, where I supported daily operations, managed the philanthropic membership program, assisted with special events, and served as the liaison for the Zoo’s oldest volunteer fundraising group, the Ladies Auxiliary. Before joining the Phoenix Zoo, I worked with two other nonprofit organizations — the Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA and the Arizona Humane Society. These roles strengthened my passion for nonprofit work, honed my problem-solving skills, and reinforced my ability to collaborate effectively within teams dedicated to making a difference. I’m passionate about driving innovative solutions that enhance guest experiences and improve operational efficiency. My favorite part of my job is collaborating with colleagues and partners to brainstorm and implement creative ideas that streamline processes and optimize systems for our staff. I hold a Master’s degree from Miami University and a BA from Northern Arizona University.
