About Natascha Baumgartner

Since completing my apprenticeship as an industrial clerk, I have been working for the same company as a full-time employee. First I was responsible for quoting, creating invoices, handling mails and answering the main phone but I have worked my way up - from the apprentice to the assistant of the CEO. But it has been the same processes month by month, year by year. I started to question myself if this is the job I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I made the decision to continue my education and reorientate myself. I considered the kind of job that would bring me happiness and allow me to contribute to something more meaningful. I wondered,'What can I do? How can I utilize my creativity?' So I started to study Mobile Software Development at the FH Joanneum. Currently, I am in the fourth semester and I’m very happy with my decision I made. I am learning about configuration management, data structures and and exploring various programming languages. My favorite lectures are web technologies & usability and web application development. Especially the combination of technology and creativity. I am counting down the days until I will earn my bachelor’s degree and fully immerse myself in web development with the focus on frontend development.
