About Natasha Thomason

Since October 2022, I have endeavored to support Skeletal Dynamics Strategic Manufacturing Center, LLC (aka StratMan) in getting a brand new electronic Quality Management System up and running. It has been a rewarding experience and opportunity to learn the ISO 13485 Quality Management System Requirements for Medical Devices Standards inside and out, as I participated directly in an audit for this certification. From May 2020 to October 2022, I worked in the Quality Department at GoodCat, LLC overseeing production of chemicals. I monitored environmental conditions of the buildings owned, including 2 ISO Class 8 cleanrooms with temperature/humidity data, water sample analysis, conducted particle count tests, and microbial analysis. I was responsible for the accuracy of all raw materials and manufactured goods being within specifications upon receipt and release. I kept all equipment used in the lab calibrated and performed retests of materials to ensure the quality of our products. I maintained accurate SOPs and update changes as needed when improving processes. I coordinated with all chemists and assisted production staff in the manufacturing process from start to finish. Before that, I graduated from the University of Central Florida in May 2019 with a degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Chemistry. I had an amazing internship with the Chemistry department where I learned about aerosols and mass spectrometry. I developed a hardworking, very systematic, and detail-oriented eye through my research. I then gained 1 year of experience at MicroBio Engineering, Inc working on an algae cultivation optimization project where I showed great versatility building the site and lab from the ground up. I successfully constructed ponds, bubble column arrays, cone bottom tanks, among other equipment. I performed analytical chemistry and analyzed data to optimize the productivity and robustness of a variety of algae strains.
