About Nate Pohl

Hey all! My name is Nate Pohl, a winter 2023 grad from Miami University at the Farmer School of Business with a BA in Human Capital Management and Leadership. This major focuses on people in the business setting and how to help the workplace be the most successful it can be. My minor, Rhetoric and Writing, specializes in public rhetoric and persuasion in digital and verbal mediums. I chose these degrees to help me better understand the human aspect of business- our motivators, passions, and processes. I am a Casualty Underwriting Assistant in the E&S market with Admiral Insurance. My primary function is to assist Casualty Underwriters throughout the lifecycle of a policy, from submission to issuance, with the aspiration of eventually becoming an Underwriter. After living in Southwest Ohio my entire life, I have moved to Seattle, Washington in pursuit of a different scenery to broaden my understanding of the United States and expose myself to new experiences. Some of my personal goals out here include to finish the Seattle to Portland bike ride before sunset (completed!), to summit Mt. Rainier, and to visit all national parks on the West Coast.
