About Nate Serrano

Nate has broad experience across the commodity procurement and risk management space in both the CPG industry and as part of a commodity hedge fund. He started his career learning the agricultural commodity supply chain from both the operations and trading perspectives, building broad experience in areas such as demand planning, logistics management, toll agreement management, hedge position management, and supply chain optimization. Over his time with The J.M. Smucker Co. and Flowers Foods he gained increasing procurement, risk management, and market analysis responsibility across the edible oils, protein meals, grains, and energy sectors for both human and pet food business units. Since transitioning to a commodity hedge fund, he has more recently expanded the scope and depth of analysis done across the commodity complex to develop trade ideas and manage existing positions in the fund's portfolio.
