About Nate Spainhower
I have 20+ years in the paint industry, accumulated after completing my education at Wyoming Tech where I received my Associates Degree and certification in auto collision and refinishing in 1997. Throughout the course of my career, I have worked in varying industries, from boutique bicycle shops to commercial paint and powder coating facilities. However, painting Indy cars, restoring classic cars, and doing custom work for motorcycle shops, dealerships, and independent owners was my focus. Much of my paint work has made its way to print whether it was my own motorcycle or those owned by my clients. My painting and time management skills were put to the test when I was on the Discovery Channel’s Biker Build-off in 2006, painting the winning Hoosier Daddy bike built by Jay Hart. In 2021 I ventured into Cerakote finishing for firearms, giving me an opportunity to learn a new coating process and challenge my eye for design. 2021 was also the year I transitioned my skills into a production environment, leading a department for a major manufacturer.
