About Nathan Baker

Nathan has 17 years of experience in environmental impact assessment, and management. He is an experienced subject matter expert, project director and environmental lead. Nathan has led numerous multi-disciplinary environmental approvals and post approval management projects, most recently focusing on large-scale renewable energy (wind, solar and storage), construction, site remediation and decommissioning, and linear infrastructure (road, rail and power) in NSW. He has a firm understanding of Commonwealth, State and Local planning pathways and customary technical aspects: biodiversity, heritage, noise, traffic, visual, aviation etc. As a project director and environmental lead the broad range of services he has delivered in these sectors include preparing Review of Environmental Factors (REF), Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), Statement of Environmental Effects (SEE), EPBC Act Referrals, management plans, and engaging with regulatory authorities and agencies, the community and key stakeholders. Nathan has been responsible for establishing and implementing company policy, strategies and technical specifications for effective environmental management. He has excellent written skills having prepared significant reports for a wide range of audiences. Nathan is driven to provide meaningful environment and social solutions to clients and continues to work closely with developers, contractors, corporations, and governments to solve project related issues for sites across Australia.
