About Nathan Blair

I am a degree qualified Senior Safety Advisor. I have earned certification in auditing, risk management and safety management from Australian and international bodies. My career has spanned 16 years across large organisations and large projects in Australia. I have varied experience in sectors such as transport, marine, building, rail, quarrying, civil works, mining. I have also spent time in corporate predominately in data analysis, systems development/management and compliance performance. My main focus centre on ensuring understanding compliance requirements, capturing opportunities through Risk Management, Change Management, Management Frameworks/Systems and Organisational Culture. I pay close attention to these aspects because they are important in underpinning opportunistic and defensive business fundamentals. If these aspects are not managed properly, the organisation is not in a position to respond efficiently and/or take advantage of new opportunities that arise with little notice. To date I have been part of teams that delivered projects to the value of more than $10 Billion (AUD) in both remote and urban locations of Australia. I have worked as a member of WHS project teams and managed projects on my own across multiple sites and locations. My roles have seen me work with a broad range of entities and people, from Executive Directors to apprentices/graduates, small and large subcontractors, regulators and unions.
