Current responsibilities: Direct the IU School of Medicine's process improvement program focused on increasing the value add, stewardship, efficiency, and operational effectiveness of the school's resources, services, and processes that support the school's education, research, and clinical mission. The program entails education/training, project experiences, and coaching/mentoring across the school and the university. Provide oversight, lead, or facilitate continuous improvement project efforts using Lean Six Sigma methodology, problem solving tools and techniques, resulting in eliminating procedural waste and maximizing the value add benefits services and processes provide in delivering customer driven impacts. Current areas of focus includes research laboratory operations, space efficiency, scholarship management, and IT personal computing. Previous responsibilities: Directed the planning and data strategy efforts of the enterprise wide business intelligence environment for business, educational, and research operations data within an academic medical school, including full BI life cycle, data warehouse efforts, data asset management, and subsequent reporting and data visualization solutions. Serve as Chief Data Steward for education and business administration data, consolidating inconsistent data governance process towards a school-wide effort that ensures regulatory compliance and application of university policy/procedure within the school for utilizing and sharing data Led strategic planning and performance assessment for $50 million university IT organization, including financial projections and IT service cost model analyses. Conducted strategic assessment of IT enterprise systems. Directed sponsored program research services, including >$10 million in federal awards,>$220 million in proposal submissions, and co-principal investigator on $3.4 million in awards. Provided project management services for additional $7 million in awards. Ensured policy and regulatory compliance on all efforts. Directed $30 million, 60K SF new building effort.
