Nathan is based in Central Otago and is the technical lead on Civil and Land development projects in the Southern Lakes Region. Nathan has over 13 years of civil design experience across local government, commercial, and private infrastructure. Nathan specializes in civil modelling, visualization, and low impact stormwater design. Nathan is detail orientated and combines this with practical experience, problem solving and a can-do attitude. Key Experience: Lead civil engineer for the 6 waters design for the Silverlight Studios Fast Track Consent, undertaking the conceptual design of stormwater, wastewater, potable water, an 11-hectare lake, firewater, and irrigation systems. This involved close collaboration with planners, local government, and consultants to deliver comprehensive servicing designs within strict time constraints. Lead civil engineer and designer for the Stage 4 of the Saxton Creek upgrade, which entailed upgrading 300 meters of existing stream and culverts to a new box culvert and open channel. Worked closely with contractors and stakeholders through an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) process to navigate geometric, geotechnical, and construction challenges, ensuring seamless project delivery. Lead civil engineer and designer for the Pembroke Terrace Subdivision Stormwater design, overseeing the management of stormwater for a 140-lot subdivision through innovative basin and underground disposal systems. Design engineer for a shipping container loading pad, implementing heavy-duty pavements and site-wide stormwater treatment and attenuation measures. Nelson Petroleum Distributers – Engineering design and construction supervision for multiple service station developments around the South Island. Involving high levels of coordination between numerous consultants, tight timeframes, rigorous RMA constraints as well as vehicle tracking, 3 waters, and pavement design. Christchurch Polytechnic Institute (Previously CPIT, now ARA) – Underground Services Earthquake remediation Strategy. Modelling the existing drainage infrastructure across various campuses, identifying damage, capacity issues. and providing remediation strategies.
