I am an experienced electrical engineer in the field of electric power transmission and distribution, specifically on electrical substation projects. My past 7 years have been focused on protection and control, and relay settings. Prior to that, I did substation physicals as well. I have experience with one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, DC control schematics, AC and DC equipment schematics, control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, bills of material, control building specifications (including layout, elevations, equipment specifications, AC and DC panelboard layouts, and battery sizing), field engineering support during testing and commissioning of substation projects, general arrangement plans, elevations, bus details, foundation plans, steel placement plans, conduit plans, conduit details, grounding plans, grounding details, static protection plans, lighting plans, bills of material for substation physical design (specifying bus conductor, bus connectors, major substation equipment, conduit material, and grounding material), substation physical calculations (for bus ampacity, fault forces, bus support spacing, insulator cantilever strength, and bus deflection), and equipment specifications (including power circuit breakers, instrument transformers, disconnect switches, and switch motor operators). Outside of work I enjoy volunteer work (when I have time) and taking care of my two dogs (a lab mix and a pit bull, both of which are rescues).
