Background
About Nathan Cook
Senior Microsoft cloud engineer and Founding Director of EmberPoint. 25 years building, securing, and modernising enterprise cloud environments across Australian government. The problems I'm built for: environments that need securing from the ground up, security tooling that needs replacing, and platforms that need automating.Eight years at the Department of Parliamentary Services, leading security uplift, cloud transformation, and automation programs across the Commonwealth Parliament — drove Essential Eight maturity, identified $1 million in M365 licence savings, delivered Azure Virtual Desktop in under two weeks during COVID, and replaced the full endpoint and web security stack with Defender for Endpoint, Zscaler ZIA, and Airlock Digital.Currently at GRDC — Zero Trust, Conditional Access, Essential Eight, and cloud-native automation.
