About Nathan Devaul

After more than a decade of teaching mathematics and leading educational programs, I’ve transitioned into the actuarial field to combine my passion for problem-solving, communication, and analytical thinking. I’ve passed the Society of Actuaries Exams P and FM, and I'm continuing to build my technical skills in Excel, SQL, and Python to support risk analysis and financial modeling. Founding and running a private high school gave me firsthand experience with managing budgets, balancing strategic risks, and leading diverse teams — all skills I’m excited to bring into the actuarial world. What sets me apart is my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and build trust across teams. Whether it's explaining statistical models, analyzing data trends, or collaborating on business decisions, I enjoy making the technical accessible and actionable. I’m currently seeking an actuarial analyst opportunity where I can continue learning, contribute to strategic decision-making, and grow within a collaborative, forward-thinking organization.
