About Nathan Gamache

I am a fourth-year student at Saint Louis University - Madrid Campus, with the goal of acquiring a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. My rigorous coursework at Saint Louis University has taught me valuable skills in the political science field like research methods, the ability to efficiently collaborate with others on projects, and the ability to adapt and problem-solve in certain situations, just to name a few. I was born and raised in the Metro Boston area to an American father and a Chilean mother. As a child, my mother always instilled in me and my sister, a love for culture, travel, and languages. This love manifested itself in my decision to leave my beloved home and venture across the Atlantic Ocean to Spain for university. My arrival to Madrid in January of 2021 was my first ever exposure to Europe and its culture. It was easier for me to assimilate into Spanish culture, already being conversationally fluent in the language. My time in Spain has provided me with connections and experiences that I would have never thought possible. Meeting and making friends from every corner of the Earth and taking classes that broadened my perspective on contemporary political issues and my personal worldview. Having now spent three years in Europe, the majority of my life in the United States, and having been raised in a multicultural household, I will bring an energetic, unique presence and perspective to any professional environment.
