If you're anything like me, you want to make a better collaborative world, where we cooperate and look after each other. What gets me really excited is programming and what it enables us to do. In particular taking a process that is long a laborious, or convoluted and complicated and simplifying it down. Using programming to make our lives simpler and easier. I revel in environments of complexity with ingenuity and thinking outside of the box. This requires me to be involved with diverse teams to find great solutions. Most of all I love challenging others, introducing new tools and elevating my team up to be the best they can be. In the compliance space, i wanted to introduce a more social process to an area that for years has been stuck in a neglected technological backwater. A lot of technology has become too complex, disparate and at times uses outdated methodology: continual innovation is required so that we can maximise our productivity and collaboration. I was the Program Leader for Startup Leadership Program in 2016/17. I wanted to continue as part of the program as having that network is integral and I wanted to help others make their leap into entrepreneurship as well. I previously worked on a petrol cost savings App, being smarter about purchasing habits with a programmed aid. I turned a convoluted process of searching into a tap and go solution. My goal is to use technology to enable people to work smarter and not harder bringing all the advantages with it from savings in time and money to increasing productivity and communication flow.
