About Nathan Islip

I am motivated by three core drivers: leadership, influence and ethics. Leadership of teams, of projects and of thought in the development and delivery of transformational projects. Influence through energised constructive relationships, courage, political acumen and innovation. Ethics through a social change agenda that pursues inclusion, equality, sustainability, safety, diversity and opportunity. Through these my teams shape public realm and community infrastructure projects to deliver deep change within communities. These projects have a legacy of positive impact on physical and mental health, participation, economic prosperity, employment, resilience and inter-generational connectedness. I embrace emerging trends and their impact on built form and design such as Smart Cities, augmented reality and e-Sports. These require agility and innovation along with a longer-term strategic focus which I integrate into policy and strategies. My professional qualification in a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) is fused with extensive delivery experience to position me as an instrumental change agent and strategic thinker. My highly versatile project management skills and knowledge of multiple design disciplines has enabled me to build collaborative high-performing teams that exceed expectations and set new benchmarks in delivered outcomes.
