About Nathan Joyal

I am a professional educator focusing on post-secondary education of technical and vocational topics using digital resources, as well as a researcher and educator of all aspects of the cannabis industry. For the past two years I have been contract-teaching as an adjunct in Upper Michigan at Northern Michigan University. I have an extremely broad formal education including dual 4-year degrees in Engineering as well as Computer Science, extensive paralegal training, and a research-based Master’s degree with a thesis analyzing cannabis farming output in terms of THC/$ using analytical chemistry and multidimensional economic analysis. Professionally I have a long history of small business ownership and management, having operated in the industries of technical services provision, commercial farm design and management, retail cannabis dispensary operations, and residential rental real estate management. I am a life-long learner and self-investor who is always looking for the next challenge. Today, I am focused on the application of cutting edge digital tools including generative AI to create high quality and engaging educational content to explain technical concepts.
