Thirty years experience in economic, community and housing development for the State of Connecticut where the common mission is to intake, evaluate, underwrite, select, refine, contract for loan and grant public funded assistance as gap filler leveraging private investment for a public benefit such as job creation or retention, facilities run by municipalities or non-profits that benefit citizens, and renovation or new development of housing that will be offered at below market (affordable) rents or pricing. Have worked under five Governors and in the housing arena alone the 60 or more projects I have helped finance span the state from Greenwich to Putnam and New London to Winchester. Specialized experience in certifying small businesses as state bidders, out of state business recruitment, foreign trace (export) international economic development, targeted environmental remediation, urban revitalization, HUD Community Planning and Development funding, the Federal and State Universal Relocation Acts, Low Income Housing Tax Credits, New Markets Tax Credits, Federal and State Historic Tax Credits, Connecticut Green Bank financing, financing programs for new homeownership development, broadly targeted project intake and pipeline development and the requesting and administration of funds authorized by the State Bond Commission.
